I'm Jo Groenestyn, the registered breeder behind Golden Hour British Shorthairs. My passion for raising gorgeous, plush pedigree British Shorthair kittens in a loving, nurturing home is woven into the fabric of our family life.
Our kittens grow up alongside us. From tiny newborns curled up with their mum to curious little kittens beginning to find their feet. They're loved, handled and included in the everyday rhythms of our home. Children, cuddles, visitors, play and the hum of the vacuum cleaner all become a very familiar part of their world.
As a family, we pour so much of ourselves into raising each litter. It's this everyday connection that helps shape confident, affectionate and well-adjusted kittens, ready to settle into a forever home of their own.
As a registered breeder and proud ANCATS member (#26619), I prioritise health, temperament and type in every breeding decision I make. Our breeding cats undergo comprehensive health and DNA Testing, and from pregnancy through to the day our kittens leave us, we invest in quality nutrition, attentive care and a clean, enriching home environment where they can thrive.
